Travel: Car travel required. Head west on M40. Leave M40 at Jct 4 and take A4010 towards
Aylesbury. At second roundabout (by petrol station) turn left, signposted to Lane End. Continue to a
T junction and turn right onto B482. Pass through Lane End. (For toilets, stop in Lane End; turn right
into car park immediately after pedestrian crossing with traffic lights.) Continue to Cadmore End.
Look out for a school warning sign. If possible, park in small car park on the right just before the
school. If that is full, continue for a few yards and turn left on to a minor road immediately after the
school and park on the right hand verge, which is where we shall meet.
Nature of walk: Re-visiting a popular walk in the heart of the Chiltern countryside, but missing out
one of the hills. The route passes through fields and woodland and the tranquil villages of Fingest,
Turville and Skirmett. There are several climbs and many beautiful views. Shorter walk options are
available if you park at Fingest, but please liaise with Janet beforehand. Please bring packed lunch,
but there should be time for a lunch time drink in the pub at Turville.
