Welcome to St Luke’s Walking Group

St Luke’s Walking Group is a friendly group of walkers who come together regularly to enjoy the outdoors, build friendships, and support St Luke’s Hospice.

Our group was started in 1996 by Lesley Dodd, and since then, we’ve walked thousands of miles across the UK.

Our aim is to bring people together, stay active, and raise money for the vital care St Luke’s Hospice provides.

Our Annual Walk

Each year, we organise a special walking event in a beautiful part of the UK.

In 2025, from 23 to 26 May, we walked in the Peak District. In 2026, from 23 to 27 May, we will be walking the South West Coast Path from Padstow to St Ives.

Visit the official page for 2026. You can also take a look at our Annual Walk 2026 PDF presentation.

There are different route options, so people of all abilities can take part.

It’s a great way to challenge yourself, meet like-minded people, and support a good cause.

We’d love you to join us! Have a look around the website to find out more about our walks and how to get involved.

Whether you’re an experienced walker or just starting out, everyone is welcome!
