Welcome to St Luke’s Walking Group

St Luke’s Walking Group is a friendly group of walkers who come together regularly to enjoy the outdoors, build friendships, and support St Luke’s Hospice.

Our group was started in 1996 by Lesley Dodd, and since then, we’ve walked thousands of miles across the UK.

Our aim is to bring people together, stay active, and raise money for the vital care St Luke’s Hospice provides.

To see our regular day walks see: Our Walks

We are linked to Ramble Worldwide via their Walking Partnership. Are you booking a Ramble Worldwide holiday? If yes, did you know that you can help St Luke’s? When you book, you can nominate an organisation (which needs to be a part of the Walking Partnership) to receive a small donation from Ramblers. St Luke’s is now a member of the Walking Partnership, so please nominate us. Remember, you have to do this when you book. Thank you for continuing to support St Luke’s

Our Annual Walk

Each year, we organise a special walking event in a beautiful part of the UK.

In 2025, in May, we walked in the Peak District. In 2026, in May we walked the South West Coast Path from Padstow to Hayle and then the St Michael’s way from St Ives to Marazion.

Soon we will have the outline details for 2027.

There are different route options, so people of all abilities can take part.

It’s a great way to challenge yourself, meet like-minded people, and support a good cause.

We’d love you to join us! Have a look around the website to find out more about our walks and how to get involved.

Whether you’re an experienced walker or just starting out, everyone is welcome!
