Saunderton via Bledlow Circular – 21.3.2026

Glenn Connolly writes: We welcomed the sun as it shone on Saunderton, we welcomed Spring…finally and we welcomed our new Annual walkers and with that, 12 of us gathered keen to take on the hills ahead of them. We set off heading towards Bledlow via Lodge Hill passing the lambs whom were no more than 2 weeks old. So lovely!!  After a brief stop at the picnic tables by The Lions of Bledlow we continued up Chinnor Hill where lunch was taken gazing over the town of Chinnor. The views were as far as the eye could see. When ready we made our way towards Radnage, passing the vineyard and gathering again at St. Mary’s, a 12th/13th century church which is always worth popping in to see the discovered etchings on the walls. After the wing of a Red Kite had touched me on the head, we made our way up the last main hill of the day. As we approached The Boot pub, I was delighted to see some stay for a drink and thank you John for leading them back to the station for me. I continued with the rest of the group back to Saunderton where we said our goodbyes until next time.

Today we had sun and it shone so brightly, we had smiles, laughter and fun times. We had hills after hills and we had very little mud. We had each other and I was so happy with that today. A great day!!!

Thank you all for your company, your efforts and your patience. It’s always an absolute pleasure to walk with you all and I look forward to the next time.
