Peter Polkinghorne writes: 25 of us started the year at Rickmansworth Aquadrome for a crisp walk of just over 4 miles up to Hill End and back to the Aquadrome, where we went our separate ways. While the weather was not as sunny as forecast, it was dry until the last 5 minutes. We passed plenty of horses, flocks of geese, both on land and in the air and Christmas decorations. Despite the pesky stiles, we made good time and completed the circuit in just over 2 hours. Just under £100 was raised for the Hospice and I hope to see many of you and others on the Spring walks. Finally Watford won their match.
