Eastcote House Gardens 05.05.2025

Peter’s report: I was joined by 6 other walkers, who were not put off by the initial rain shower or the closed Eastcote House Gardens Cafe. We were rewarded with a pleasant gentle walk, with an excellent display of flowers in the walled garden at Eastcote House, a display of minerals at Pretty Corner and finally hot drinks and refreshments at Daisy’s in Pinner Memorial Park. There was history too, with a GCHQ site near Highgrove House, that once housed 800 WRENS and 100 bombes (the decoding machines) and a lot of demolished big houses, but surviving farmhouses.
