Glenn Connolly writes: It was the last day of January, thank goodness! 11 of us gathered at Chorleywood for what was to be a joyous day. Did i arrange the sun? I was asked. Well, not quite, but i like to think it rarely rains on me, Ha Ha!! It was lovely to see new walkers and returning walkers from past year’s join us and with that,we set off. We made our way through Chorleywood woods/common and towards the River Chess, staying on the south side, then climbing our one hill of the day and using unfamiliar paths we arrived at Chenies. a fairly quick snack/lunch stop before the chill took hold and off we went to Chalfont and Latimer under the arch of a rainbow. On arrival to the station and the use of a communal puddle, 4 headed home and the rest to the pub for a drink of choice. Oh!! and not to forget the bemused look on the bartenders face when i asked to buy the glass and not the drink. A lovely day and a pleasure as always. See you on the next one!!!
