Peter Polkinghorne writes: 11 walkers and one dog joined me for the first of the Spring walks. The weather was mostly dry, but the ground, particularly at Barn Hill, was wet. We set off up the hill from Harrow on the Hill Station, to pass through an apparently deserted Harrow School to reach Northwick Park, where there were more signs of life. We then went through Preston Park to Preston Road Station and on to Fryent Country Park, where we climbed Barn Hill for a good view of the Wembley Arch, before descending to Wembley Park Station.
