Travel: A LondonNorthwestern train leaves Harrow & Wealdstone at 9.51 and arrives in Berkhamsted at 10.16.
If driving, there is parking at bottom of New Rd, on the far side of the castle ruins, approx 4 mins walk from station. (Be aware there is another New Rd in Berkhamsted – you need the one by the castle.)
Nature of Walk: This steadily paced walk will take us up via Berkhamsted Common and the Big Field to Potten End where we will have the lunch stop. Please bring sandwiches. The return will be down the lane and along the canal to the station.
