DESCRIPTION:General Area: Chesham Outer Ring. Miles: 8 miles moderate walking\, with uphill sections\nMeeting Time: 10:30 Meeting Place: Chesham Station\nLeaders: Kay Waddilove & Margaret Huitson\nLeaders’ Mobiles: Kay 07518 365746; Margaret 07762 310509\nTravel: From Harrow on the Hill Station take the 9.37 a.m. Metropolitan\nline train to Chesham\, arriving at 10.19 a.m. There is also a pay\ncar park at Chesham Station (payment by machine/phone/app).\nNature of Walk: This is a circular rural walk that goes through the open country\nand ancient woodlands around Chesham with outstanding views\nof the surrounding countryside\, valleys and farms. There are a\nfew steep sections (good practice for those undertaking the\nCornish Coastal Challenge!)\, but it is possible to shorten the\nwalk at several points. Please bring a picnic for our lunch stop\nwhere there will be an opportunity to get a drink and use the\ntoilets at The King Charles pub. We then continue across open\nfield land to return to Chesham station\, where Metropolitan line\ntrains run regularly to Harrow\, Wembley and into London.
